Advocacy Day 2008 was a Huge Success!
On Thursday, April 10, over 90 people from 17 states came to Washington, DC, to experience our great democracy first-hand. RESOLVE’s Advocacy Day was an opportunity for RESOLVE members to meet with their elected officials to advocate for three key issues.
After meeting with others from their state, participants headed off to the U.S. Senate and House office buildings for more than 65 meetings! At the end of the day, they came together for a debrief reception where they shared the results of their meetings and discussed follow-up needed. RESOLVE was honored to have Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz address the group. Her words were motivating and inspiring, as she shared her own struggles with infertility and the plight of millions who cannot access the care they need to build the family of their dreams.
RESOLVE will work hard to follow-up on the great work that began on April 10. You can get involved with RESOLVE’s advocacy efforts! Plan to meet with your Senators and Member of Congress in their home office right in your state. Email us at advocacy@resolve.org for more information. Thank you to all who attended Advocacy Day in Washington!
