Where do I go From Here?

What are My Options

Many ob/gyns and urologists are specially trained to treat the patient having difficulty getting pregnant. Often a situation will warrant a visit to a physician who specializes in infertility, a reproductive endocrinologist.

Next Steps

Learn as much as you can about infertility. Get and read good, reliable information (not just from popular magazines) from your doctor, library, or trusted friends or family. The RESOLVE website has a range of information on different topics related to infertility, and support groups and educational events across the country. To find RESOLVE in your area, click here.

Finding a Physician

Important questions to consider are, "When is it essential to seek the medical advice of an infertility specialist? When is the care of an Ob/Gyn no longer appropriate?" Call your local RESOLVE HelpLine for more information. For a list of HelpLines, click here.
