Surgery for Treatment of Structural Problems
There are several female structural problems that can be treated with surgery. Endometriosis, Tubal Factor, DES, Fibroids, Asherman's Syndrome and Sdenomyosis. Surgery is one option. The important step to take is once you are diagnosed with a specific infertility condition, speak with your physician about the treatment options that are best for you.
Male factor problems can be treated by surgery as well. Male factor problems are generally due to structural abnormalities. These are abnormalities of the reproductive tract that consist mainly of obstructions that partially or totally block the flow of sperm and/or seminal fluid. Some of these abnormalities may be present at birth (congenital), others may have occurred after infection or previous surgery.
