Helen Adrienne, LCSW has been serving infertility patients since 1979. Helen is on the faculty of the Wellness Program at NYU Fertility Center in NY City for whom she conducts mind/body stress reduction classes which are open to the public. She is known for her work using clinical hypnosis to inspire conception. Helen is a charter member of the NY City chapter of Resolve™ and has presented at many of their conferences. Lindsay Agne, LICSW, developed Full Circle after working as a social worker for many years in the fields of surrogacy, infertility and medical social work. Lindsay spent five years at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston as a medical social worker and covered OBGYN units as well as post -partum and NICU support. Lindsay also worked for six years for Circle Surrogacy, a full service surrogacy and egg donation program in Boston.
Full Circle is a comprehensive support program for people struggling with infertility. Lindsay listens to each individual story and develops an action plan to begin to address many of the issues right away. Lindsay uses a systemic approach to therapy that involves: talk therapy, coaching, nutritional assessment, and exercise evaluation as well as referrals to psychiatrists, acupuncturists and new mother groups.

Navigating the Fertility Journey - A Comprehensive Mind/Body Program & Support Group Sherman Oaks, CA

This on-going weekly comprehensive program and support group incorporates Western and Eastern mind-body medicine tools to help you better navigate the emotional components often present along the fertility journey, as well as to optimize physical well-being and fertility. Tools/topics include: how to engage your Relaxation Response, understanding thought-emotion-body link and how to modify "unhealthy' patterns, breath work, meditations/visualizations, fertility yoga poses, education on optimizing health and hormone balancing, and the Strong Yoga Fertility Ball Method (a self-acupressure system for calming and balancing the body). These classes are co-taught by Health Psychologist and Registered Yoga Teacher, Deborah Anderson, PHD, and Certified Yoga Therapist, Wendy Obstler. Cost: $25 per class. Dr. Linda D. Applegarth is a licensed psychologist at the Perelman/Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine in NYC. She is Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Departments of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Reproductive Medicine, and Psychiatry. She has specialized in counseling infertile individuals and couples for over 30 years. She now shares her time between New York City and Naples, Florida.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Applegarth is a past Chair of the Mental Health Professional Group (MHPG) of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and has been active with that group since its inception. She has also served as Secretary on the Board of Directors of ASRM.
Dr. Applegarth has published numerous articles and book chapters on the psychological aspects of infertility. She is currently co-teaching an online fertility counseling course for other mental health professionals. Her research interests focus on continuing follow-up of children and families created through ovum donation. Her article, “Parental Disclosure to Offspring created with Oocyte Donation: Intentions v. Reality” was recently published in Human Reproduction (June, 2016). She is the past Chair of the Board of Directors of National RESOLVE: the National Infertility Association.
