Massachusetts - Waltham. Free Legislative Advocacy Training. 11:30AM-2:00PM ET.
All are welcome to attend this relaxed training about family building advocacy! Attendees will leave informed and empowered. If you're picturing a stale civics lesson, think again. We are going to learn together, as well as share pizza and laughs. It is also fitting that this event is during National Infertility Awareness Week! Kansas City Infertility Awareness Foundation is hosting the 6th Annual Family Building Conference. Every April during National Infertility Awareness Week, KCIA hosts the Annual Family Building Conference.  We invite you to attend with your partner and/or loved ones; we offer breakout sessions for all. This year the breakout sessions including Infertility 101, In-Vitro Fertilization, Adoption, the Male Perspective, NaPro Technology, and Faith and Infertility. We invite and encourage spouses, partners, friends and any other family members to attend as well. The film will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival during NIAW, giving voice to infertility on a national stage. Amanda Micheli, the Oscar-nominated director of HAVEABABY and founder of Runaway Films, has struggled with infertility herself, after her husband was diagnosed with testicular cancer. She knows firsthand the great emotional and financial challenges individuals confronted with a diagnosis face.
