RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association is a nationwide, grassroots organization which provides education and support to women and men struggling to build their families. The majority of our local programs and services such as support groups are made possible by volunteers who may have been personally touched by infertility. Why Volunteer?
Volunteering with RESOLVE gives you a unique opportunity to assist others whose situation may be very similar to your own, even if you may be following different paths. If you are still on your journey, reaching out helps you to feel less isolated and connect to new friends with similar experiences. And, volunteering is a way for us to regain some control where infertility may have taken some away.
If you have survived your infertility and built your family, volunteering is a great way to give back and help others still on the path. For many, volunteering for RESOLVE is also a positive way to work out and heal the wounds that were inflicted along the way.
There are many ways to volunteer for RESOLVE. Below are a few key volunteer roles:
Peer Led Support Group Hosts (2-4 hours per month) facilitate a monthly meeting for individuals experiencing infertility. Training provided.
HelpLine Volunteer (2 hours per month) return calls to individuals seeking more information about their family building options. Training provided.
Local RESOLVE coordinator (2-4 hours per month) responds to inquiries regarding RESOLVE programs and services in your area. Training provided.
Visit our Vounteer for RESOLVE webpage at http://www.resolve.org/get-involved/volunteer-for-resolve.html to learn more about these and other opportunities.
HOW to volunteer:
What our Volunteers Are Saying about their Experience:
“The rewarding feeling I have gotten from my communication with others on our journey has been immediate, and extremely satisfying. It also helps me to discuss my enthusiasm for the organization that specializes in support of our battle, when so many people around us do not understand what we are going through. As Booker T. Washington said, "If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else"”. Renee Hoyt, CT
