The Family Act has not been re-introduced in the House or Senate at this time. Efforts are going on behind the scenes; RESOLVE and other supporters of the Family Act continue to work with key members of Congress to address their suggestions and concerns about the bill. Since the Family Act adds a new tax credit, it will have to be part of larger tax reform discussions that may take place in the House and Senate. Our partners and advisors have stressed that tax reform is not a high priority for Congress at this time and it would not be wise to press for legislation that is a low priority right now.
