Free Workshops on Embryo Donation
Leading experts will explore legal, medical and mental health Issues for potential donors and recipients. These workshops are made available at some of RESOLVE's regional conferences. Session Descriptions
Session 1: Legal Issues in Embryo Donation
Explores the legal status of the embryo by presenting existing laws and prior cases, the legal considerations that potential donors and recipients should consider when evaluating embryo donation, and the elements in a contract between donors and recipients.
Session 2: Medical Issues in Embryo Donation
The workshop explains medical screening for potential embryo donors, the recipient medical evaluation, medical considerations for donors and recipients, and the transfer procedure; as well as provides recent statistics about embryo donation success rates.
Session 3: Mental Health Issues in Embryo Donation
Learn the differences between embryo donation and sperm or oocyte donation, the purpose of the psychological consultations for potential donors and recipients, informed consent agreements, psychological evaluation and counseling issues for donors and recipients.
Session 4: Focus Group to Assess Embryo Donation Session Content
Participate in a focus group to evaluate the Embryo Donation modules so that they may be modified for future conferences. This session is required to qualify for reimbursed admission fees.
