RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association and A Family of My Own Announce Educational Partnership

Regional Fertility & Adoption Conferences to Take Place in 2012

(McLean, VA)  RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association announces a 2012 educational partnership with A Family of My Own (AFOMO).  This partnership leverages the successful public education and infertility awareness initiatives of both organizations.

“RESOLVE is committed to improving the lives of people struggling with infertility,” said Barbara Collura, RESOLVE’s Executive Director.  “Providing accurate, accessible, useful education about all family building options is a core part of our mission.”

The cornerstone of this educational partnership will be a series of conferences entitled “A Family of My Own Fertility & Adoption Conference to benefit RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association.”  Throughout the U.S. in 2012, educational events will deliver the latest information and family building options to help guide couples on their journey through infertility. Each conference will include educational seminars and exhibitors with a wide range of valuable resources. AFOMO will donate a portion of the registration fees to RESOLVE.  Conferences scheduled for 2012 include:

  • Rye Brook, NY:  April 21, 2012
  • McLean, VA:  May 12, 2012
  • Glenview, IL:  September 29, 2012
  • Houston, TX:  November 2012

At each event, RESOLVE will host important legislative and advocacy sessions as a way to inform those facing infertility about how public policy can impact their access to family building options.   RESOLVE will also provide information on local RESOLVE resources such as support groups.

“This partnership is another clear example of our commitment to those struggling with infertility by combining education and advocacy in a setting that will continue to empower those on their family building journey,” commented Preya Shivdat, Director of A Family of My Own Fertility & Adoption Conference.
