Listed below in chronological order are upcoming events of interest to the infertility community in the Northeast Region, hosted and sponsored by various professional members of RESOLVE. This list is provided as a service to our members, both consumer and professional. Please note that RESOLVE does not receive any portion of fees that may be required to attend the events listed below, nor does RESOLVE have any input regarding the events themselves. • Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 10:00AM – 1:00PM. Baby Care for Adoptive Parents.
  This workshop is for you if you are waiting to adopt and would like to learn about baby care. Workshop Facilitator is Danielle Ciccaglione RN, BSN, CCE, an IAC Center Educator, a certified childbirth educator with extensive experience teaching classes on both childbirth and newborn baby care; a specialty in educating the Intended Parents of gestational carrier arrangements and now pre-adoptive parents on the birth process, the hospital experience, and newborn infant care. • Wednesday, January 30, 2013, 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Fertility Options and the Law.
  Free Fertility Workshop. Panel: Melissa Brisman, Esq; Janet Choi, MD; Michelle Aszodi, LMSW Same-Sex Marriage in New York is now legal. This seminar will examine the law's effect on biological parenting options for same-sex female couples. A physician, social worker, and reproductive lawyer will explore these parenting options. • Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 1:00PM – 3:00PM. Transracial Adoptive Family Issues.
  Learn about the challenges of growing up as part of a transracial adoptive family and how parents and professionals can help. Speaker/Moderator: Bridget Devine, LSW, an IAC Center Counselor with extensive clinical experience working with all adoption triad members; children, tweens and teens; general parenting and transracial adoptive family issues. • Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 1:00PM – 3:00PM. How to Talk to a Child About Adoption.
  This workshop is for adoptive; pre-adoptive parents and professionals working with these families. Some adoption agencies will accept this workshop as credit toward the home study requirements.
